This article highlights a rare disorder, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and its symptomology. Many rare syndromes such as EDS can be easily misdiagnosed, leading to complications in managing symptoms and patients receiving proper treatment. As a result, attention is called to the importance for patient medical advocacy and education to address healthcare barriers and support patient needs, especially for those with rare disorders such as EDS.
