Description:
70% of adults have
experienced some traumatic event at least once in their lives. Trauma may
impact how individuals seek medical support and respond in medical settings. A
Trauma-Informed Approach to Healthcare explores trauma and adverse events and
how they impact individuals physically, emotionally, and behaviorally. This
course identifies signs and symptoms of trauma, outlines the guiding principles
of providing trauma-informed care, and provides strategies for supporting
trauma survivors and managing vicarious trauma.
