Description:
The compassion and empathy that is shown by healthcare professionals can be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding. This course provides an overview of the impact of compassion fatigue on healthcare workers. The course starts with the causative factors of compassion fatigue. Followed by the stress first aid and stress continuum model to help an individual visualize their response to compassion fatigue. The course concludes with self-care tips that will help healthcare workers who are experiencing compassion fatigue.
