2023AM: Perplexing Pre-Examination Errors (CE: 1.0)


Description:

Pre-examination errors account for approximately two-thirds of all laboratory errors. Most are easily avoidable, but you need to be hyper-aware of them and take the necessary steps to minimize and eliminate them. This session will discuss some of the more common errors and provide suggestions to avoid them in the future.

  • Define pre-examination errors.
  • Identify pre-examination errors that have perplexed phlebotomists for a generation.
  • Discuss ways to minimize and eventually eliminate these errors.
