Description:
The
program is designed for instructors to become aware of the different learning
and teaching styles and how to blend them to enhance student learning in their
classrooms. The program will include an introduction to and discussion of the
seven learning styles and seven teaching styles.
Learning Objectives:
- Define
seven different learning styles from Gardner's Theory of Multiple
Intelligences.
- Discuss
common characteristics of each learning style, and teaching techniques that
appeal to each learning style.
- Outline
teaching styles commonly used in classroom settings, and compare and contrast
with alternative teaching techniques for each learning style.
