Fundamentals for Medical Assistants: Module 1 - Anatomy and Physiology


Fundamentals for Medical Assistants is a review course to help individuals prepare for the Registered Medical Assistant Certification Examination. This course includes an introduction module and module 1.


Each content module contains knowledge checks, a quiz, resources, and references. Modules do not need to be completed in one sitting.

 

Module 0: Introduction

This module reviews how to navigate the course, describes the module structure, and list other resources to prepare for the medical assistant certification exam. 

Module 1: Anatomy and Physiology

This is one of five modules from the Fundamentals for Medical Assistants course. This module is split into two parts. Part A reviews the structure and function of body systems including skeletal, muscular, endocrine, urinary, reproductive, gastrointestinal, nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular, integumentary, and the special senses. Part B reviews diseases and disorders, wellness and nutrition, and medical terminology.

Each part contains knowledge checks between subtopics. Once you complete both parts, there is a short quiz. Both knowledge checks and the quiz are ungraded and for your own assessment of understanding the content being presented. You can start and stop the module and come back as often as you would like for further review and practice.
