In this presentation you will learn how to identify kidney disease, and how it can be prevented. You will also gain an understanding of the public health impact of kidney disease, and the importance of having eGFR reported on all patients.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Define the common causes and symptoms of chronic kidney disease.
  • Describe how kidney disease is tested for and diagnosed.
  • Outline ways to prevent chronic kidney disease.
  • List resources, such as informational guides and relief funds, available through the American Kidney Fund (AKF) that can be used by healthcare professionals to assist patients.
