Patients entering the hospital come with many needs, including physical, emotional, and even learning needs. They need to feel that they are surrounded by people who can identify their needs, take care of their basic needs for nutrition and hygiene, reduce their pain, and help them transition to home, a nursing home, or another setting. This course focuses on identifying and meeting the basic needs of hospitalized patients.
