Description:
This
program will describe the Lean tool of 5S that can be utilized in a clinical
laboratory setting to create an organized, clean and safe workplace. Following the 5S process also aids in team building
as this process requires employees’ participation to be effectively
implemented.
Learning Objectives:
- Define
Six Sigma, The DMAIC Methodology, Lean, and the 5S Process.
- Discuss
the elements of the 5S process and how they can be used to achieve a clean,
organized workplace.
- Apply
these processes in a sample real-world laboratory scenario to improve a Blood
Bank workstation.
