Description:

This article will explore the physiological and psychological mechanisms which trigger the vasovagal response, techniques for minimizing patient fear and syncope risk during blood draws, and behavioral treatments mitigating the anxiety and fear associated with Blood-Injection-Injury (BII) phobia.
